Habelman 100 This Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park is stacking up!
Tuesday, August 11, 2015
This Saturday night we embark on the 3rd Annual Habelman Cranberry 100. Travis Sauter has won the first two and will try to go 3 for 3. He will have some tough competition to head up against for this years running. We have already gotten pre-entries from Nathan Haseleu. Nathan has announced he is retiring at the end of this year so this may be the last chance to see him race around the 1/3rd mile in Wisconsin Dells. Nathan was also the first to Pre-enter so he we get that last qualifying position. Ty Majeski has sent in his entry. Ty is currently leading the points in the ARCA Midwest Tour and the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series. Ty just won the TUNDRA race that was at the Dells a month back.
Along with Ty, the other title contenders from the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will be competing. Dalton Zehr, 2nd in points, has always been a threat for the wins at DRP. 3rd in series points, Dan Lensing, also will be making his return after his violent crash in the TUNDRA race at DRP last month. Other series regulars include Mike Lichtfeld that just won the Super Late Model feature last weekend at DRP. Reagan May, Steve Lichtfeld, and the return of Frank Kreyer. Frank looked to have the best shot at beating Sauter last year until a Mechanical failure.
Prunty's are starting to become a name at DRP. Dennis Prunty will be returning. Dennis has had plenty of success at DRP in the Super Lates and hopes to take the big check home as he did at the Slinger Nationals this year. His nephew, Alex Prunty, has been racing at DRP as a regular and sits 2nd in points in just his rookie season. He has been running up front but just shy of getting that first win.
